A FORMER Scarborough psychiatric patient who posed as a Hollywood action hero to con Premiership football clubs is due to be sentenced today.
Wayne Scott has admitted three charges of fraud at York Crown Court, including two cases of posing as wrestler turned movie star Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock.

The 35-year-old, formerly of Eastborough, is receiving outpatient treatment for his mental state.

He admitted pretending to be The Rock when he contacted Everton FC in an attempt to obtain tickets last July.

Scott also pleaded guilty to posing as the star on July 26 in a bid to obtain gifts and memorabilia from a member of staff at Manchester United.

He also admitted lying to BT to obtain telephone services in the name of Nigel Usher.

Judge Peter Hunt granted Scott bail on condition of residence at his home in Doncaster and on the condition he does not contact any charitable organisations.

He has been told all sentencing options remained open.
