A former Scarborough man has been charged with criminal damage after getting into a dispute with an Irish news photographer.
Alexander Dalgleish, 36, a convicted sex offender, was released on bail to attend Donegal District Court on September 3.

The incident is believed to have happened while Dalgleish, a former disc jockey, was visiting friends during the annual blessing of the boats and raft races at Mullinasole.

The Gardai is also believed to be investigating a complaint by Dalgleish regarding a second incident which happened later that night.
Six years ago Dalgleish was convicted of having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl and committing an indecent assault while working as an entertainments manager at a North Wales holiday camp.

He served half of a nine months jail sentence and was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years which involves keeping the police informed of his whereabouts.

However Dalgleish, who has since returned to Britain, says he was not required to inform the authorities of his Irish trip as it was only of two nights duration.
