Scarborough man wins Finnish version of Pop Idol

A FORMER Scarborough man has won the Finnish version of the Pop Idol TV talent contest.
Koop Arponen, 24, scored a massive 70 per cent of the vote to become the icy country's hottest pop property.

Mr Arponen grew up in Scarborough, and moved to Finland in August.

He graduated from the town's university campus this year with a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative music technology with business management.
