Scarborough fire crew helps fight moors blaze

ARSONISTS started a gorse fire near Whitby last night.
A Scarborough fire crew was sent to control the blaze, which covered 500 square metres of gorse, at 7.45pm, along with crews from Whitby, Lythe and Robin Hood's Bay. It took three hours to put out the fire. A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said the cause was "deliberate".
