THE SUN shone on St Luke's Church at this year's Summer Rainbow Fair.
It was a colourful event with each stall, and stall holder dressed in a different colour of the rainbow.
A total of £700 was raised on the day, which will go towards Church funds. There were also a number of charity stalls including Shepherd's Purse, the Rainbow Centre, and Yarn and Yatter,
Marion Banks, one of the organisers of the event, said: "It was brilliant. We have such lovely grounds at the Church it is great to be able to use them for our fair.
"We raised around £700, and we had some charity stalls as well. Money raised from the event goes towards church funds as we are hoping to raise enough for a big building project.
"We had lots of people visiting the fair, and saw some new faces who aren't regular church goers which was nice."
The fair featured a number of stalls selling a variety of things from home-made cakes and preserves, plants, icecream, children's clothes and toys.
Visitors also enjoyed afternoon cream teas and a "soak the vicar" game.
