SCARBOROUGH pupils were left rockin' all over their school when they were entertained by a world famous drummer yesterday.
Jeff Rich, who performed with Status Quo for 16 years, visited Scalby School and George Pindar Community Sports College.

More than 120 students at Scalby School, in Fieldstead Crescent, took part in the workshop where Mr Rich used a variety of percussion instruments as well as his drum kit.

He will also hold a workshop at Graham School, in Woodlands Drive, tomorrow.

Lesley Newton, Scalby’s PA to the principal, said: “Jeff holds this workshop all over the country and he told us he was going to be in Scarborough. We jumped at the chance of having him perform to the children.

“It was very interactive and they all really enjoyed it. It was something different and was very entertaining.”

Status Quo’s top songs include Rockin’ All Over The World, Whatever You Want, Down Down and Paper Plane.
