DETECTIVES in Scarborough are investigating events surrounding the sudden death of a 17-year-old youth who was found unconscious at his home.

Nicholas Semons was found by his father in Grosvenor Crescent on Wednesday morning and the ambulance service was called at about 9:30am.
He was taken to Scarborough Hospital but died later that morning.

A post mortem examination was carried out but the results were inconclusive and further tests are being conducted to try and determine the exact cause of death.

Officers believe the death was not suspicious, but are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances leading up to Wednesday's discovery.

A Scarborough Police spokesman said: "As part of the investigation detectives are trying to piece together his movements on the day before he died (Tuesday November 18) and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him or had contact with him to contact them."

Anyone with any information which may help police piece together Nicholas' final movements are advised to contact Scarborough CID on 0845 6060247.
