A SCARBOROUGH woman has been reunited with precious ultrasound pictures of her daughter after they were found in a book – SEVEN years later.
Karen Bishop, of High Fields, was surprised when she received a phone call from Scarborough Hospital seven years after she gave birth to her only child, Ellie.
An anonymous person had handed in an ultrasound picture along with a baby photograph of her daughter after finding them in a book which had been bought from the Mind charity shop in North Marine Road. Miss Bishop, who runs South Cliff Dry Cleaners with her mother Norah, said: “I want to say a big thank you to the person who handed in the photo, and the ultrasound department who took the time to reunite me with these treasured photos.
“The pictures belonged to my mum.
“She must have them in a book to keep them safe, then forgot they were there when she donated the book to a charity shop.
“I am really pleased to get the pictures back as they are obviously very special.
“It is nice to see there are still some good samaritans in this town.”
