DETECTIVES investigating the sudden death of a 17-year-old Scarborough youth are still waiting for the results of further tests to try to establish the exact cause.

Nicholas Semens was found unconscious by his father in his Grosvenor Crescent home on Wednesday morning and died later in Scarborough Hospital.

An initial post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

Police were anxious to speak to anyone who saw him on Tuesday to help piece together his final movements.

DI Tony Quinn, of Scarborough CID, said: "Inquiries have continued and we have located a number of young people. Somebody else came forward whom we believe met him on his way home. We are gradually piecing together the final movements of Nicholas."

Officers believe the death was not suspicious but are still carrying out the investigation into the circumstances.

Anyone with any information can contact Scarborough CID on 0845 6060247.
