MORE spooky goings-on have been spotted over Scarborough's South Bay.
John Ottaway, of Beverley, contacted the Evening News after he and his wife witnessed strange lights over the sea and the cliffs towards Filey.

He said: "We were walking over the Spa bridge at about 7.45pm on last Saturday. There must have been in excess of over 20 lights over the sea, and near the cliffs. At first it looked like hang gliders that were lit up. But most of them flew into the sea and then looked as though they expired. A couple of them went a long way."

He said the lights looked like they were coming off the cliff and falling into the sea.

His experience follows a series of similar sightings from people around the Scarborough area over the last few months.

At the end of July there were reported sightings of a white glowing sphere above houses, travelling slowly in an easterly direction before disappearing into a sea fret.

In August, Adam Meads spotted orange coloured lights above Scarborough Castle on the night of Friday August 15.

He said he had just dropped some items off at one of the North Bay chalets and was driving past the former site of the Corner Cafe when he saw the UFOs at 9.30pm.

He said: "There were two lights above the castle and they seemed to be stationary. They started moving so I got out of the car. I turned the engine off but I couldn't hear anything. They then flew out over the bay and they became four lights."

He said: "The light was orangey and they were big enough to notice that they were circular."

And similar lights were filmed on two separate occasions, later that same night, by former fighter pilot Win Keech.

Russ Kellett, a Filey-based UFO hunter, sent the clips to the Evening News for its website. The first clip was filmed at about 10pm from Saltersgate, over RAF Fylingdales, and shows two orange balls of light which are very close together.

Could any these sightings of lights in sky be Red, Amber and Green ones in a vericle cluster by any chance? if so you will probably find SBC are at it again, I know the intergrated transport system is designed to cover all eventualities but contolling incoming UFOs, surely SBC are not that daft, ARE THEY?.

Perhaps it was a coven of parking attendants practicing their ability to swoop in from nowhere . . . :|

I personally removed Post 3 as I hit the wrong button.

Aircraft be they fighters, helicopters, transport or private, along with the space station, reflections, stars, cloud formation or not enough water in the whiskey !!!. These are what people see.

There are no Flying Saucers. There may indeed be aircraft still on the secret list that are being test flown. We have in the past had the U2's, F-117A Nightawk and the B-2 Spirit, all when first seen by the public were 'Flying Saucers' because of their shape and lights.

The obvious time to test fly because of secrecy are during the hours of darkness with a lot depending where they are from and going to.

Not too long ago there were reports in the SEN of 'Mysterious Flying Objects/saucers' over the area. When described they were the exact description of the new Euro Fighter-Typhoon F2 that had just become operational and was based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. They were flying a lot at that time in pairs over the area.

I do not dispute there are logged reports of unidentified 'things' by reputable people. But at the end of the day the majority are explained within a few days or in some cases when whatever comes off the secret list.

Keep believeing lads but be careful you don't get a ticket if you park-up to watch in the wrong place.

SBC have a secret hanger called area 51 in the town hall. I believe in the weeks to come they will be putting floating traffic lights in the south bay to guide these ufo's in

Now the real reason for Enforcers 24hrs a day has emerged.

SBC are keeping a careful eye on the situation regarding the UFOs during the hours of darkness, at a secret meeting it was decided that UFOs landing in Scarborough would come under the same rules for parking, as motorist's do now.

SBC are to set up a UFO working group and are to bring in consultants in order to assertain what impact a proliferation of UFOs will have on the town, will it require double yellow lines in the sky, traffic lights, sky parking enforcement officers and intergalactic translators.

It was also decided signs will be errected to direct UFOs to an exclusive UFO parking area which will be the old Weaponess park and ride site, charges for the use of the UFO parking site are to be looked at in the near future, when toilet facilities will also be reviewed, like do they need them?.
