DOZENS of marching bands from Norway have been entertaining the crowds over the past few days during an annual visit organised by Club England.
They gave static performances in Westborough and a final marching display between Vincent Pier and Aquarium Top yesterday afternoon.

Pat Argent, a tutor with Club England, said the visits by foreign students were also responsible for pumping tens of thousands of pounds into the local economy.

He said: "The range of ability was up to top professional level. This part of the world is part of their world because there are a lot of Viking influences in Yorkshire."

He added that Heartbeat is one of the top prime time TV programmes in Norway and visits to the locations used always proved popular.
