PUPILS at two Scarborough primary schools are on song after they were treated to a special musical lesson.
Youngsters from Woodlands School, in Woodlands Drive, and Springhead School in, Barry’s Lane, were visited by the Live Music Now team, and took part in a number of hands-on activities and performances to boost their musical ability.

The project, co-ordinated by North Yorkshire Youth Music Action Zone, gives children with special educational needs the opportunity to increase and develop their skills with lessons from professional teachers in workshops dedicated to various aspects of music.

The pupils were allowed to touch instruments and join in with singing and dancing before conducting the musicians, learning about the history and culture of a piece of music and taking part in musical games..
