POP superstars Simply Red are heading to Dalby Forest.
The band will play at the woodland location in the Forestry Commission Live Music event on June 26, which has previously hosted big name acts such as Paul Weller, Jools Holland and Status Quo.
Fronted by Mick Hucknall, the group have a catalogue of hit singles to their name including Holding Back The Years, Something Got Me Started and, If You Don’t Know Me By Now.
Speaking about the concerts, which are taking place in forests across the country, the singer said: “As we had such fun performing a solo forest show at Westonbirt Arboretum this year, we decided it would be great to play all the forest concert venues around the country in 2010. It is a fantastic experience for a band to play in these unique settings.”
Forestry Commission Live Music pays for itself and any profit generated goes back into improving woodlands for wildlife and the public.
Tickets for Simply Red go on sale at 9am on Friday via the hotline on (01842) 814612 or online at www.forestry. gov.uk/music
