FORMER S Club star Jo O'Meara has pulled out Scarborough's Christmas lights switch-on because her father is ill.
But Coronation Street star Andrew Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland, will switch on Scarborough's Christmas lights on Sunday at 4.15pm with borough mayor Cllr Derek Bastiman.
Town centre manager Malcolm Hall said: "She has also had to pull out we understand that family has to come first."
Whitby pop star Alistair Griffin will also be performances with former One True Voice singer Jamie Shaw and all-girl group Chocolate Monday.
