Jockey Rachel in running for title

THE runner-up in last year's Miss Scarborough competition has made the final of the prestigious Miss Photogenic UK competition.
Rachel Richardson, 19, of South Crescent Avenue, Filey, is one of 50 finalists.

The final will take place in November at Epsom Racecourse, in Surrey.

Rachel, who works as a jockey, said: "I am really looking forward to it. It should be a great experience.

"The final will be similar to the Miss Scarborough one.

"There is a bikini round and a formal gown round."

Rachel was the runner-up in last year's MIss Scarborough competition which was won by Rachael Cooper.

She added: "I was really pleased to be shortlisted and I am now preparing for the final.

"I am looking for a sponsor so if anyone is interested, please get in touch before the end of March."
