SCARBOROUGH people are invited to a special afternoon tea party to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice.
The annual Tea at Three event will take place at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on Tuesday, June 3.

Everyone is invited to the event where they will be joined by the hospice’s fundraising team for a “Ritz” experience with a selection of tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes.

People can also book backstage tours of the theatre.

Fundraiser, Penny Campbell, said: “Tea at Three is a traditional part of the summer Hospice Care Campaign or Sunflower Appeal as it is often known.

“The campaign promotes the work of the hospice and involves activities for all ages from nurseries and playgroups to adult groups and local communities.”

Mrs Campbell met with patrons of the hospice, Lady Heather Ayckbourn and Rebecca Howard to discuss the plans for the tea party.

Tickets for the event are priced at £10 and can be bought from the fundraising department on (01723) 378406.
