Scarborough Sea Life Centre residents Cherry and Eric may have been sweltering in the heatwave but the delivery of their own "ice lollies" is just the thing.
The Asian short-clawed otters have fish or nuts frozen in ice.

"They are inquisitive, intelligent animals who love anything new," said displays supervisor Lyndsey Crawford.

"The ice-lollies bring a double benefit, keeping them entertained for hours as they try to work out how to get at the fish or nuts, and the ice keeps them cool at the same time."
