YOUNGSTERS learnt about local wildlife when rangers from Dalby Forest held a presentation at Scarborough Library.
Ross Carrick and Mark Barker talked to the children about looking after the forest and the creatures living there. More than 20 children attended the session where they also made footprints using plaster-of-Paris.

Library assistant Sharon Houghton said: "It was a really successful session and the children all seemed to enjoy it. "It was really interesting and they learnt a lot about the animals that the forest looks after."

The library has held several educational sessions for children during the summer holidays including a magic workshop and story-telling sessions.
