Injured man out of danger after Esplanade accident

A 34-YEAR-OLD male pedestrian who was injured after a collision involving two vehicles on Tuesday has been discharged from Scarborough Hospital after treatment for serious injuries.
He was injured at the junction between Esplanade and Prince of Wales Terrace at about 4.15pm and was taken by ambulance from the scene at about 6.30pm.

One of the vehicles was a delivery truck which was reversing at the time of the accident.

The road was closed while police officers carried out an investigation.
