MISS Scarborough runner-up Hannah Creelman has missed out on being named Miss Earth England, a beauty pageant which promotes environmental awareness.
The 22-year-old finished a creditable 10th in the contest which was won by Caroline Duffy, of York.

As part of her entry Miss Creelman, of Cayton, had to provide an example of an environmental cause she had supported.

She was among the volunteers who took part in last month's clean-up of Cayton beach as part of the Marine Conservation Society's Adopt-a-Beach scheme.

She is currently in the process of qualifying as an occupational therapist and earlier this year she was named "Miss Talent" at the Miss Scarborough contest after wowing the judges with her range of impressions.
