A SCARBOROUGH man has appeared in court on allegations of possessing a firearm and ammunition without a certificate.
Steven Hurrell, 52, of Victoria Street, appeared before Scarborough magistrates after police found the weapon during a search of his property in January.

Steve Ovenden, prosecuting, asked the court for an adjournment for further examination to take place on the size of the gun’s barrel and Hurrell is due to re-appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
