STUDENTS from Graham School gave Scarborough MP Robert Goodwill a tour of the school when he officially opened their new maths block.
Mr Goodwill cut the ribbon to open the building which includes seven classrooms as well as a hi-tech ICT suite.

Students spoke to Mr Goodwill about the latest news at the school and they held a question and answer session with the MP about his role in Parliament.

Mr Goodwill said: “The facilities in the maths block are fantastic and I was delighted to have a look around.

“I was very impressed with the pupils and staff. The school recently achieved an excellent Ofsted report and it is a very popular place.”

Assistant headteacher Bill Stuart said: “It was excellent to have Robert in school. The students really enjoyed meeting him and it was great to see them asking him plenty of questions about his job.

“We are delighted with our new maths block. Each classroom has n interactive whitebeard and ICT suite is also impressive.”
