Fund hands out cheques to 23 organisations

MORE than 20 organisations have benefited from the Mayoress's Community Fund this year.
Scarborough mayor Janet Jefferson dished out the cheques to the 23 organisations from throughout the borough at a Town Hall presentation.

They were: 49th Eastfield Scout Troop, Derwent Valley Pre-School, Eastfield Crown Bowling Club, Epilepsy Action (Scarborough), Filey Amateur Showgroup, Filey Childcare, 1st Scarborough Scout Troop, Friars Inn Kids Club, Friends of Martin House, Hunmanby in Bloom, Lythe Village Hall, Northstead Community Pre-School, Oakridge County Primary School, Scarborough Blind and Partially Sighted Society, Scarborough East Division Girlguiding UK, Scarborough in Bloom, St Hilda’s Old School, The Boys Brigade 4th Scarborough Company, The Boys Brigade 2nd Scarborough Company, The Friends of Friarage, The Meeting Place Child Contact Centre, Town Centre and Peasholm Neighbourhood Watch and Upper Derwent First Responders.
