A MAN is in hospital with serious head injuries following an alleged assault at a Filey pub.
Police said the man is in his forties and a vistor to the area.

He has been given emergency treatment to determine his condition.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault which broke out last night outside The Star in Mitford Street, Filey.

The pub is now cordoned off and the street was closed earlier today.
Police are appealing for more information and witnesses and can be contacted on 0845 6060247.
