EMERGENCY services were called after a Daihatsu 4 Track estate car crashed at Staxton roundabout.
The alarm was raised at 2.40pm yesterday. A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said no other vehicles were involved.

She added an occupant of the car had to be treated for minor injuries and firefighters were called to the incident to deal with fuel which was leaking from the vehicle.

A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said one patient was taken from the scene to Scarborough Hospital for treatment.
