Henry Dell, China and Glass shop in St Nicholas Street, has become the official Royal Crown Derby stockist in Scarborough.
The shop stocked a small selection of Crown Derby prior to 2000 when the Royal Doulton Group owned the company.

Then Royal Crown Derby became an independent and privately owned concern and the local stockist was the Potter’s Wheel, latterly Amalthea, in Huntriss Row.

Royal Crown Derby’s history can be traced back to 1750 and it is one of England’s few remaining manufacturers of high quality English Fine Bone China.

They are best known for their use of rich colours and hand gilding with 22-carat gold on tableware and giftware including, since 1981, their collection of paperweights.

Chris Bostock, of Henry Dell said: “We are very pleased to have taken over the dealership of Royal Crown Derby and look forward to being able to provide this prestigious product not only at Henry Dell’s but also at Hornes, our branch in Whitby”.
