Convent pals reunite

FORMER pupils of the Convent of the Ladies of Mary in Queen Street are staging their triennial reunion in Scarborough this summer.
Pat Barber, secretary of the Friends of Scarborough Convent, said: "So far we have received 200-plus letters from people wanting tickets and this is really pleasing as obviously some of our older ladies find the travelling difficult."
