A Scarborough restaurant is to close at the weekend but there are plans to reopen.
The Persian Cottage, in Victoria Road, will close for good on Saturday. It opened during the Easter weekend in 2006 and its owners plan to reopen as a different form of eaterie in the near future,

Manager Gemma Lynes said: “All the staff and management would like to thank all our regular customers for their support and we hope to see them again when we reopen. We haven’t got a date yet but it will be as soon as possible. When we reopen it will be as a different style of restaurant but we want to keep the details under our hat for a while so it will be a bit of a surprise to people.”
