SCARBOROUGH Civic Society has received a grant of £300 towards the costs of holding Heritage Open Day events.
The group’s application was granted at a meeting of the Yorkshire Coast and Moors County Area Committee.

The popular Scarborough open days, which take place every September, are organised jointly by the civic society, Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society and Scarborough Council.

They aim to increase public awareness of the town’s architectural, built, historical and cultural heritage.
