AN award-winning brewery aims to be the toast of Scarborough's first farmers' market.
Wold Newton’s Wold Top Brewery will be one of several businesses at Scarborough College Farmers’ Market, in Filey Road, on Sunday between 10am and 1pm.

“Although time has prevented Wold Newton’s Wold Top Brewery being granted a licence to sell beer at this first market, the brewery was determined to support the local initiative and will be on hand to talk about and give out samples of its award-winning real ales,” said sales office manager Vicky Skinn.

“This is great for local producers like us – we’re only 12 miles away from the college and it’s a great opportunity to talk to the local customers who have been instrumental for our success over the last six tears.”

The market is the first in a series at the school, at its Filey Road sports hall and junior school car park. The dates of the others are: Sunday February 1, Sunday March 15, Sunday May 17 and Sunday June 14.

Anyone interested in having a stall should contact James Davies on (01723) 360620 or email farmersmarket@scarboroughcollege.co.uk

The markets will be run on a non-profit-making basis.
