SCARBOROUGH'S Bathing Belle, which was due to be reinstated tomorrow in the town centre, has now been delayed until Wednesday.
This is because finishing galvanizing work is still being made to the sculpture by Sunderland-based blacksmith artist Craig Knowles.

A formal ceremony to install the sculpture on a plinth outside the Brunswick shopping centre in Westborough was held last month.

The sculpture – and the Diving Belle on Vincent Pier – are being maintained by Scarborough and District Civic Society before handing over their care to Scarborough Council.
