WOMEN are in for a treat when Scarborough footballers perform the "Full Monty" to raise funds for their club.
Six footballers from Westover Wasps Football Club will bare all when they strip on Saturday December 13 at 7.30pm at the Westover Club.

They are busy rehearsing for the event, which will raise money for the football team funds and the Westover Club, in Westover Road.

Manager Chris Townsend, 40, has organised the event but is not taking part himself.

He said: “This is something we have never done before but we thought it would be fun, and let’s just say I did not have to ask the lads twice!”

Tickets are on sale for the event and can be bought from the club. They cost £5 each.

Mr Townsend said: “The main aim of the night is to raise money for the team and we will also be making a donation to the Westover Club.

“We are hoping a lot of people will come. We have had a lot of interest and it promises to be a fun night. We are all really looking forward it.”

The footballers taking part include John Kelwick, Gary Maw, Kevin Hodgson, John Cairns and Chris Hannam.
