Band hits high note for charity gig

THE Geoff Laycock Big Band and Singers will return to Scarborough YMCA Theatre next Sunday to raise money for charity.
The concert, which is sponsored by local man Bernard Raw and musical director of the band Dave Clegg, features singers Roger Maughan and Brenda Sharman, who will perform a selection of swing and jazz favourites.

The event tales place at the theatre in St Thomas Street from 7.30pm and money raised from ticket sales will be donated to the YMCA.

Tickets are available from the YMCA box office and cost £8 for adults and £7 for concessions.
