Songwriter makesfilm début

EX-STRANGLER Hugh Cornwell will be in York next week for a screening of his film début Blueprint.
The punk band's original guitarist, singer and main songwriter has made a feature-length movie about his forthcoming Hoover Dam album, recorded and filmed at east London's famous all-analogue Toe Rag Studio.
The footage is inter-cut with an in-depth interview by BBC broadcaster Robert Elms.
Blueprint will be shown next Wednesday at City Screen in York, one of 13 venues around the UK to host a one-off screening.
Hugh will take part in a Q&A session afterwards.
