WITH the town all jazzed out, following the annual jazz festival at the Spa at the weekend, Scarborough Jazz is giving it a miss this week.
The club will be back next Wednesday with frequent visitor Al Wood and newcomer Nick Mills.

Al plays saxes and has performed with many famous musicians including Dionne Warwick and the great Nat Adderley.

He has won the prize for best soloist with the BBC Big Band twice. Al loves the music of Benny Carter and Gerry Mulligan, leading a quartet devoted to them.

Trombonist Nick Mills has played with Jamie Sheriff, Joel Purnell, Ken Marley and Andrew Coleman.

They will be backed by the Mick Gordon Trio and entrance is free.
