A CHORAL concert at Queen Street Central Hall tonight will feature actor Brian Hewlett.
He will be the guest reader at a performance by the Occasion choir from Copmanthorpe, near York.

The concert, called For All Seasons, is a journey in music and words through the seasons.

Brian starred in the West End production of Chicago and The Boyfriend, Cabaret and Fiddler on the Roof musicals.

His most recent TV appearances were in episodes of Doctors and Kingdom, alongside Stephen Fry.

He has recorded documentary programmes and plays on radio but is especially known as Neil Carter in The Archers, who he has played since 1973.

Brian is now working on a series of words-and-music recitals with Yvonne Robert whose late husband Graham played George Barford in The Archers.

Accompanied by York-born organist and pianist Nicholas Page, the choir will be conducted by soprano Yvonne Robert, who appeared at Queen Street with the late Leslie Sturdy. The concert is due to start at 7.45pm.
