EIGHTIES pop star Gary Numan is headlining a magical music event near Helmsley this week.
The pioneer of electronic music is well known for the chart-topping success of Are Friends Electric? and Cars.
He will share the stage with Ladytron, Morcheeba, the Egg, Pacific, Nouvelle Vague, Lykke Li and DJ John Kelly, playing electronica, alternative rock and indie.
They are playing at the Music Loungeabout festival at Newburgh Priory in Coxwold from noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday, with music on the night going on until 3am.
Festivalgoers can camp in either a yurt village or their own tents.
There will be a farmers' market, a mini golf course, a spa therapy area (offering massages etc) and a play area in a magical garden with a storyteller and milk and cookies at twilight.
Newburgh Priory is a large and imposing stately home on the site of an Augustinian priory, founded in 1145.
The extensive grounds contain a water garden, walled garden, topiary yews and woodland walks.
