Floral twist to new town performance

A SCARBOROUGH theatre company are set to say it with flowers in a new production.

The Beach Hut Theatre Company are presenting Alison Watt’s comedy thriller, Stalked by Flowers, as part of Coastival’s Rather Splendid Day Out on Saturday, February 11.

The performance comes after the successful comedy, Love, When It’s Brass, at last year’s event.

Ms Watt said: “It was really exciting performing at Coastival last year.

“We received a very warm response even though the actors and audiences had to brave the chill February weather for the outdoor sections.

“This year I wanted to move away from farce and write a thriller with a stronger focus on story and wanted to introduce more serious elements by looking at dependency issues as well as generating laughter.”

The show will take place in the Concert Room, in Scarborough Library, and performances take place on Saturday, February 11 at 1pm and between Wednesday, February 15 and Saturday February, all starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets for all shows are available from Scarborough Tourist Information Centre in the Brunswick Shopping Centre.
