Celebration of a classic musical era

BEN Ellis returns to the Scarborough stage on July 8 with New York, New York, at the Spa Grand Hall.

The show celebrates an era of memorable music, with classic songs such as Mack the Knife, All the Way, Come Fly With Me, I’ve Got You Under My Skin and, of course, New York, New York.

“The music has been specially arranged for our six-piece band and the choreography and costumes of our five singers and dancers will leave you exhilarated”, says a spokesperson.

“We are appearing at various venues around the country in the next six months including the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, the Rhodes Centre in Bishop's Stortford and Bridlington Spa. We will tour to Ireland next spring.”

Besides Ben, the performers are Alexandra Turchyn on vocals, dancers Vikki Mackenzei (who is the choreographer), Mike Sherlock and Danni Everdell; musical director Neil Pennock on reeds, Paul Sylvester on trombone, Ben Dawson on trumpet, Phil Stevenson on drums, Bob Malinowski on bass and Richard Metherell on piano.
