Ben's fans flock to show
FANS of Scarborough star Ben Ellis flocked to the final performance of his first big London show.
Ben played the part of Patrick Swayze in the Music of Dirty Dancing concert, which ran at Kew Gardens, at a festival in Slovenia and finished at Crystal Palace.
His mum Joanne Ellis said: "It was fantastic and fully directed and choreographed with all 26 songs from the film. Sharon Ellis, Ben's auntie, organised a coach trip making sure there was plenty of wonderful Scarborough support.
"It was a lovely relaxed evening, the weather was perfect and everybody enjoyed themselves dancing along to the music."
Ben now has a week of wig and costume fittings ready to start rehearsals for his West End debut in Hairspray. He plays Link Larkin in the stage version of the film, which has just been remade starring John Travolta.
