Author goes on show in new film

A FILM inspired by a prominent Scarborough author is set to be broadcast in the town.

The Woman in Black, written by Scarborough-born Susan Hill, will be show at the Stephen Joseph Theatre next month.

The stage version of the novel premiered in the studio at the town’s Theatre In The Round in 1987.

It has since become one of the most successful plays ever to be staged in the West End and has been seen by more than 7 million people.

The film will be shown from February 24 until February 29.
