Are you tired of the depressing story lines on our soaps EastEnders and Coronation Street?
If you are, I would recommend leaving your television switched off and visit the YMCA's new Comedy Showtime in St Thomas Street.

I went on the opening night and thoroughly enjoyed it and I must congratulate the whole cast and crew for their hard work, especially the warm-up act with a unique twist which everyone who attended the first night will be talking about. It was a most peculiar experience and a much needed tonic during this wet summer.

We have a number of very confident talented young entertainers in Scarborough who have provided hours of free publicity to their home town over the peak viewing Saturday night television slots over the last several months, we must continue to give them our support.
