MAY I on behalf of the Scarborough Concert Band thank the Scarborough Evening News for the publicity that has been given to us throughout this year which has helped us enormously in promoting the Concert Band's 40th anniversary year.
We have celebrated our 40th year with special concerts and were joined on two occasions by Ryedale School Wind Band, Easy Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Train.

On Saturday, which was the culmination of our anniversary year, we had an excellent concert at Queen Street Central Hall where we asked former members to come and join us.

We are very grateful to all our sponsors without whom the concerts would not have been possible. Thanks, also, to the amazing generosity of various organisations and our audiences for their donations

We are looking forward to our two Christmas concerts in December. The first is on the 10th at Queen Street Centrall Hall where we will be joined by St Augustine’s School Jazz Band, and on the 14th at Westborough Methodist Church with Gladstone Road Junior School Choir.

Again our thanks to you all for your help and support.
