I AM writing to you on behalf of Saint Columba's YOUTH to thank everyone for all the support, donations and time given to our group for our summer fair.
The event was a resounding success thanks to all this community support, and we cannot thank anyone enough for all their efforts.

We would like to say a special thank you to Castlegate Jewellers, Topdog Pet Wear, the Stephen Joseph Youth Theatre,
Scarborough Evening News, Yorkshire Coast Radio, everyone at St Columba’s Church, all our fantastic youth leaders, all the stallholders, mum and dads, and anyone who we have forgotten!

We raised more than £400 and we intend to donate half to the church organ fund and use the other half to buy the group some much-needed new equipment.

We are the youth group based at Saint Columba’s Church Hall in Dean Road, Scarborough. The group is for young people aged between 11 and 16 years and is held in the hall every Friday during termtime between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Activities we offer include table tennis, board games, a chill-out zone and tuck shop. The whole idea for this group is to give young people somewhere to hang out on a Friday evening.

I want to help young people stay off the streets and give them a great place to go, and with this kind of support we can continue to grow in the future.

Thank you again for helping this community group help itself.
