HERE we go again. Another steering committee to find a suitable site for the horse fair and, of course, we mustn't let the gipsies dictate where they want to go.
What is wrong with the site found last year at Stoney Haggs after an eight-month steering committee search? Why is that not suitable? It was the most suitable last year out of all the sites viewed.

If this is done right it could be a feather in Scarborough Borough Council’s cap.

The site could be used before and after the horse fair as a site for towing caravans of holiday makers, therefore earning money.

We have to have the horse fair, so let’s do it right this time and get a permanent site where it can be policed and prevent the travellers setting up anywhere and everywhere.
