FOR several years, and as often as possible, I have made near-120 mile round trips to enjoy the individual and collective musical talents of the members of the Scarborough Spa Orchestra.
They never disappoint but, sadly, consistent support in audience numbers that they deserve is rarely forthcoming.

Ten concerts each week (six mornings, four evenings) and never two alike, from a group of musicians who, whilst maintaining a proud tradition (their centenary is fast approaching), skilfully present first class entertainment in a blend that meets the widest possible tastes of today.

Impressive guest vocalists, gala evenings, themed programmes from swing to classical favourites and back again and everything in between – the variety is endless!

So come on, residents and visitors alike – you don't know what you are missing! Fill all the seats, support and enjoy this legendary gem that is the only remaining professional seaside orchestra in the UK. You may well become addicted – I have.
