RE Sea cliff car park.
This is disgusting, the powers that be have cocked up once again.

Obviously none of the voting councillors use this car park. The meter actually went up last year, then was covered up.

With double yellow lines all around the two schools up the
re the car park was ideal to park in and walk to and from school, thus getting exercise and not causing traffic chaos near the schools.

But no, the council cannot abide giving something free.

This car park is generally filled with pensioners, sitting having a cup of tea and enjoying the view, and even having a nap in their cars. They won't use it now, and what a shame for the tea kiosk.

I use this car park a lot in summer to walk the dog, as the beach is too busy, plus there is the dog ban.

I give a vote of no confidence in this council.

I READ with interest the comments by John Riby about the installation of a parking meter at Sea Cliff car park.

I am sure all the legal niceties of the relevant acts relating to this decision were carried out somewhere, but common sense was excluded.

In fairness to the residents of Scarborough, and to make us all appear equal, can we now have the details of the all parking charges paid by council officials and all our other employees and the income generated by this for the good of the town?

Are some more equal than others, or is it fair game to hit a couple of hours pleasure by mostly senior citizens?
