A SCARBOROUGH arthritis support group is relaunching itself in a bid to welcome new members.

The Scarborough branch of Arthritis Care is throwing a party to give the club a boost after numbers have dwindled in recent years.

Lots of new activities, such as guest speakers, raffles and bingo events, are in the pipeline.

Tracey Muschamp, group co-ordinator, said: "The branch meeting will be for those with a common interest with regard to those suffering from arthritis.

"We'll also look to have a full programme of speakers on a variety of subjects, quizzes and entertainment. Come along and join our launch party!"

The launch party and first full meeting will take place at 2pm on Wednesday March 11 at the Westover Club in Westover Road.

It will feature a buffet and entertainment, and new and old members are all welcome.

For further information contact Tracey on (01723) 377012 or group secretary Mavis Atkinson on (01262) 424100.
