Tough cup test for Eastfield sides

SATURDAY League champions Eastfield will face first division rivals Snainton in the first round of the Evening News League Cup.
New side Eastfield Reserves are also taking on first division opposition when they travel to newly-promoted top-flight side and cup holders Burniston.

They are not the only new outfit with a top flight clash as Filey Spartans host Cayton Corinthians, who were reprieved from relegation at the end of last season.

Ryedale, who are making a return to the league, take the trip to Fishburn Park, while Seamer Reserves entertain Scalby.

Four more first division side have first round clashes, with Filey Town travelling to third division Westover, West Pier at Shades, Newlands hosting Stakesby, and Sherburn making the journey to Star2B.

League Cup 1st round draw: Filey Spartans v Cayton Cors, Star2B v Sherburn, Eastfield v Snainton, Rosette v Seamer, Burniston v Eastfield Res, Fishburn Park v Ryedale, Seamer Res v Scalby, Shades v West Pier, Newlands v Stakesby, Ayton v Tennyson, Westover v Filey Town. Byes: Edgehill, Rillington, Riskers, Heslerton, Hunmanby United.
