SUNDAY League secretary Tony Walker is set to carry on in his role after being offered a helping hand by his committee.
Walker was going to call time on his duties due to work commitments but because nobody has come forward to take on the secretarial role full-time he will continue.
He explained: "I was going to give it up but I have agreed with other members of the league committee that they will help out more with the administrative side of things so I have more time for my training courses.
"For example, Wreyfield's Nick Johnson is probably going to look after fixtures and match officials which will be a massive help and my wife Karen will continue to be a great help.
"I should hopefully be okay after next season to return to my duties as normal but for now I definitely need the extra help and am very grateful to those who are offering it."
Third division Cayton Corinthians have withdrawn from the league, but several new sides are showing signs of joining up.
Walker added: "Cayton have quit which is a shame but we have also received applications for some new sides while a couple of teams look set to change names.
"Fingers crossed everything will run smoothly next season and we can just get on with things.
"We are always looking for new people to join the committee and I would encourage anyone to come along and give us a hand."
